Christmas Day Part 2

This is the loud part, everyone came over and we had six kids all under the age of 7 super excited to open presents from Grandma and Grandpa, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Wow it was crazy! This is the first time all the cousins had been together for Christmas. A site to be seen and oh the noise, but what would Christmas be without it. The tree was beautiful, even if the ornaments were only 4 feet high except for a few. Right before we started I told Garrett to go and sit down and he was sitting there so patiently I couldn't' resist a cute picture. Calm and collected, spot reserved and ready to go. Grandma sat back and took some pictures while Grandpa had the task of handing out the presents, not as many of the presents got sent to the wrong people as in years past. And he didn't throw as many across the room...Thanks Dad!

The excitement in this picture! Love it! He was so excited it was a lightning McQueen bowl, plate and cup set and he was so excited about it. He carried it around the rest of the afternoon, night and into the next day.

If you blinked you missed it, after all the presents were out the kids were set loose, I think many of them completed present opening in record time. The wrapping paper was too much for Garrett he couldn't resist, he would make a pile and then jump in. Everyone says kids are happier with the empty box, and in this case the wrapping paper, then the present itself. Grandpa quickly grabbed a trash bag and put the kids to work picking it all up, before presents were lost.

We had dinner, which was delicious and relaxed and talked.....then it was off to part three of our night.
