Day at the Park

Went to a nice park not far from my parents house which is wonderful cause there isn't much close by! It was really hot so we didn't stay too long back home to SWIM!

Finally

I finally got the pictures from my brothers computer of our visit to Wisconsin a couple weeks ago. You can click on the pictures to get them larger! We had a lot of fun trying to get some good pictures.

Introducing Our Nephew, Blake Jefferson Walling
Born last night August 28,2007
7lbs 7 ounces and 20 inches.

Don't quote me on all the info but it is close! The kids were so excited, Madison loved every minute and Garrett when Diantha first held Blake didn't like that but as the last picture showed he was starting to warm up to him.
Blake is Dave's Brother, Brian's and wife Buffy's little boy. Mom and baby are doing great and look great too!

Annie

Annie is growing like crazy! She is literally a crazy dog! Full of the oh so common lab energy!

Checking in

I have had quite a few people ask if we are close to all the flooding, we are about an hour away! Thank goodness, I can only imagine what the residents of the towns in Northern Ohio and surrounding states are going through. On Sunday at church they put out a call for all volunteers to come and help clean up one of the towns, Finley Ohio, this town I believe the river crested 8 feet above where it should be! We are okay we did get our share of rain but not as much, it seemed the storms always stayed a little north, although there were times when it was raining and it seemed the streets were filling with water quickly.

On a good note, a much needed break in the heat, this morning when I woke up it was 60! Although this afternoon the high is going to be in the upper 80's. The humidity is down and it really felt good this morning, we got the lawn mowed which was long overdue and some weeds pulled, many more to go though. Well I have made this post long enough.

But what is a post without a picture. Garrett's new thing when he doesn't no where something is or how to do something is to lift both hands in the air just like you would if you were expressing, "I don't know!" So cute! Not s great picture, as soon as I took it he put down his hands!

The long long days!

The past week has been nothing but,

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT
HUMID HUMID HUMID HUMID
STICKY STICKY STICKY STICKY
RAINY RAINY RAINY RAINY

We are getting a little tired of being so hot and irritable and the kids are tired of being inside, air quality = stinks!

The things we do love
ICE COLD WATER
Annie and Garrett love to play with ice cubes!
A COLD BATH AT NIGHT
SITTING UNDER THE FAN
POPSICLES!!!!!
SITTING IN THE HOUSE WITH THE LIGHTS OFF!

There is an end or so they say but I am not seeing it. As I sit her around midnight, too hot to sleep, the temperature still reads 81 degrees with humidity levels in the 90's! The schools are closing early and one school district has already used their extra days and school is 2 weeks in! The rec centers and pools are staying open later. You can even go to the fire stations and police stations!
I just needed to vent but tonight both kids are in our room asleep on the floor with the window unit and the door closed so hopefully the room will cool and I can sleep!
And too Janae and Doug I am sure the weather will be better when you get here!

Spur of the Moment

Before we headed home we spent the night in Chicago, Caitlyn(my sister, Heather's girl) came with us. We went by the Chicago Temple and even though it was raining we managed to snag some pretty good pictures. Although it was cut short because it was me verses 3!

Scrub a Dub Dub

3 kids in a tub and a very big tub it is!

Ashton, Madison and Garrett taking a bubble bath in Grandma and Grandpas jetted tub! Garrett was a little slippery and hard to hang on too but they all love it!

Summer Baby!

Garrett was fascinated by the slip and slide. and as he stood there his diaper migrated and I had to take a cute little picture! Reminds me of the baby on the sunscreen with the puppy pulling at the diaper. Madison would run down the slip and slide or she would crawl she went down one time and said it hurt her knees but all the cousins loved it and really got into it. But Garrett our little dare devil would just stand there with a perplexed look on his face!

Build A Bear

One of our favorite things to do is build a bear! This is the first time that Garrett got to build a bear, actually he built a monkey and Madison built a purple hippo. A lot of fun, the kids love it cause it is something they can do and have control over! We did this along with Ashton their cousin.

Home from Surgery

We are home from surgery. Everything went great and Garrett was such a trooper. When the doctor completed the surgery he came out and talked to us and said that his adenoids were huge. Although not infected yet they were huge and he kept saying that. I know it is hard to read the captions under the pics but I think you can click on the pics to enlarge it. He looked so cute in his hospital attire. After they gave him some medicine to calm him down he started acting crazy he would try to jump on the bed and jump into my arms and try to flip over but he finally calmed down and started to lay down and actually close his eyes, The strange face on the bottom right if a result of the medicine, he would make faces and than smile and laugh. We came home and he went right to bed, I am loving it right now cause this is the most I think he has ever snuggled with me, he is just not a snuggler. He is in bed now and I should be getting to be too we are not sure what the night holds and Dave is at work til probably 2 or 3 in the morning. Today will be a new beginning we hope and after a couple rough days I hope we will be on the road to sleeping a lot better. Just wanted everyone to know he is doing great. On a side note when he did wake up in recovery and they brought him out we got one of his big smiles!

Madison doing the Chicken Dance - Unknown to her I was taping it!

We went to Kings Island this last weekend. Dave got some free tickets for our family from work which was really nice. We went with Dave's brother Bryan and his wife Buffy and their son Bryce and than also with some friends of ours John and Missy Tucker and their sons Noah, Jackson, and Daniel. We had a lot of fun Kings Island is both an amusement park as well as a water park. That night we stayed in a hotel and than the next day we went to Splash Moraine another water park but much lower key and had a great time relaxing. Madison and Garrett both had a great time this was their first experience with an amusement park atmosphere. They did really well with all the walking and Garrett with all the sitting in the stroller.

Lots of Fun

I made this diaper cake for my sister-n-laws soon to be new baby boy, Blake. It was really fun to make and looked really cute. This is the first time I have made such a cake, but she needed diapers and it was a fun cute way to give them to her instead of wrapping a package of diapers.

Who knew

Who knew that the bookcase in the corner would be a great place to hid! Well Garrett and Madison think so. I came around the corner to find out why they were so quiet and what do you know they removed the books and were taking turns sitting on the shelf. When I came back with the camera, Garrett was getting up but before he was laying in there on hie belly with his butt in the air! So cute! So of course Madison had to have a turn.

What a Difference

I was looking through pictures and came across these, What a difference a month makes, knowing what is wrong with Garrett. Just click on the picture and it will make it bigger. Of course he wouldn't cooperate today to get a better picture but you get the idea and I can tell in the picture! He still does get read sometimes and is a little red in this picture, if one of the dreaded food ingredients gets missed he gets red again. We have had so many people comment on how well his face looks now, I didn't realize it was so red and gross but looking back I can see it and it looked horrible! Everyone kept saying dry skin, eczema and all along it was things he was eating.
Yesterday Garrett got his cool medical alert bracelet in, at first didn't want it on his arm but today he has barely touched it. It is a sports band style with trucks on it. It just lets anyone who comes in contact with him know that he is allergic to some foods.
BEFORE
AFTER

And we will leave you with a few extras.
Yes, BUNNY, is still around but now she has a name...ready for this one....HOPPER (so highly original don't you think!) What a loved bunny!

New

I know there are so many new post! Be patient I think they are all worth the read!

I'm A Big Boy

Well today we got Garrett a big boy bed (instances of crawling out of the crib had been enough!) A wonderful find at a garage sell, the frame and then we just put our crib mattress in it. He loved it and all afternoon he would say, "car" and points upstairs! WHICH BY THE WAY IS HIS FIRST WORD! He checked out the wheels and tried to lift the hood. But night 1 is better than expected, we got ready for bed and than I put him in there and he stayed cried for about 5 minutes and went to bed! I was amazed, hopefully the rest of the night is just as amazing! Look in the picture, notice HIS BEAR, he took to it when we took his pacifier away and he loves on that thing and obviously snuggles through the night.
