The Saturday before school started we went to Kings Island for a little last bit of fun this summer. But oh the day we choose to go, it was so hot and there were so many people! Madison rode her first roller coaster, once I get the picture scanned in I will post, her face is priceless. She stood in line, and then when she got right to the front she refused to get on and started to cry and cry and what a good dad she has, he picked her up and put her in the seat, while everyone in line watched and laughed. And wouldn't you know she got back and had a smile on her face and said, "that was fun."
Garrett was too little to ride much of anything although he did join the 36 inch club, which allowed him to ride about half a dozen rides. He did get to ride the log ride and he really liked that. He got to ride the merry-go-round and of course the favorite Scooby Doo Laser ride. And of course Dave winning Spider Man for Garrett, he has quite the obsession right now. It is as big as him and he loves it.
We stayed almost 12 hours,walked and walked and walked. We watched the Dora the Explorer Stage Show. Got to witness some interesting people and some not so nice people, I mean really when you are in the kid area be a little more polite, it is no wonder 5 year old kids know the language they do.

On a side note, we stopped at the parent/child building where you can change diapers, feed, etc. And this little girl was brought in probably around 6 or 7, she had lost her parents. The sad thing was she didn't know her last name, her parents name, what they were wearing, or any phone numbers. It just reaassured that not matter how hard it is to teach the information, it can be so vital! All the police officer could do was wait to see if the parents came to find her. How sad! Teach your kids to know you by more than just mom and dad.
We had fun and can't wait to get the chance to go again next year.

Did your kiddos get sick after hanging out with us? I sure hope not...we had so much fun. Zach's fine now. We went for the day to Browns Nation park in Indiana yesterday instead of camping overnight....it was fun!

So sad to hear about the little girl that lost her parents. I hope it did not take long for her parents to realize she was gone and came looking for her.
Its funny that you would have a post on Kings Island today. Last night, Tom and I were just talking about wanting to go over to Kings Island and over to cedar point-hopefully someday! It looks like a blast:)
