We went camping on the 15, 16, 17 of July 2006. It was a lot of fun. We of course picked the hottest weekend on the month, temperatures on Saturday were in the 100's and we were farther north where it should have been cooler. We cooked Dutch Oven the whole time which was a lot of fun, cooking chicken, cornbread, potatoes, cobbler. In all it was a success. Madison had fun cleaning up the tent and had a blast sleeping in the tent. The next two nights after being home she slept in her sleeping bag on her floor, insisting that she was camping out.
We went swimming, at least we could cool off that way. Garrett loved swimming! Madison got so hot one afternoon that as we were getting dinner ready we turned and looked and she was in her birthday suit eating a snack and drinking some water.
